Welcome engaged Mission Bay Neighbors!
MB IQ Trivia Challenge
Mission Bay has been a residential neighborhood long enough for multiple commercial spaces to have changed hands at least once. Earlier settlers remember eagerly awaiting a food market opening at Fourth and Channel, only to see it close after a year. The neighborhood has flourished as it has grown, and so has our sense of community spirit and shared culture.
How well do you know Mission Bay? Take the MB IQ Trivia Challenge to find out! Everything here is either current or happened within recent memory. Answers will be published at a later date. Ready to play?

TOP OF MIND for many neighbors in March 2025 are the draft recommendations for the Mission Bay School Safe Access Plan, currently being developed for the future public elementary school in Mission Bay that’s scheduled to open in August 2026.
Decisions that come out of the Mission Bay School Access Plan are going to be among the most consequential ever made for the neighborhood. These redesigns will have a lasting impact for anyone who drives, peddles, or perambulates.
The work will require funding and coordination between multiple City agencies.
Ultimately, the street, bike path, and sidewalk improvements based on this plan are intended to improve safety and connectivity for all. This project is led by the San Francisco County Transportation Authority in coordination with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and San Francisco Unified School District.
